Burberry

I love this cape. It reminds me of Lena Waithe's costume LAST year, which was not Burberry; I wonder if it was a coincidence or a baked-in reference.

Schiaparelli

Mandatory Credit: Photo by JUSTIN LANE/EPA-EFE/REX/Shutterstock (10229440n) A flamingo headpiece designed by House Schiaparelli is on display during a press preview of the Metropolitian Museum of Art Costume Institute?s spring 2019 exhibition 'Camp: Notes on Fashion' in New York, New York, USA, 06 May 2019. The exhibit deals with the history and concept of camp in fashion and how it is come to influence mainstream culture. And of course here is the flamingo. I still cannot believe we didn't see any Schiaparelli on the red carpet. I honestly think Anna's insistence on wearing Chanel every year is frustrating and I wish SHE would take the lead.

Some of the exhibit is curated thusly, which is VERY poppy and interesting -- like The Muppet Show meets a Rubik's Cube.

I don't have a credit on this one! I assume it's by Half-Pint.

That's all tinsel, right? Ho ho ho.

I believe I saw these credited to Vivienne Westwood.

I mean, I wouldn't NOT wear those jammies today.

Zazie Beetz wore something similar to that outfit on the left, by Thom Browne; I wonder if this is ALSO Thom Browne. I think it might be. Also, I see that the wall says "Gender Without Genitals," and I swear I didn't plan the order of these slides...

But, here is some gender WITH genitals.

Naturally this is in here.

Moschino (at least, the one on the right is)

I dearly wish someone had done a proper homage to the dress on the right. Nina Dobrev, Katie Holmes, Gwyneth... we would STILL be talking about it.

I LOVE this upside-down dress, too; THAT would have been a nifty trick to pull out. I would've loved to see Zac Posen try that, or Giambattista Valli. (For all I know that IS Giambattista Valli; I couldn't find it.)

Well, we know the one on the right is Mugler, because Cardi B just wore it.

I wish I could read that text.

HAH, Kim Kardashian -- the current cover girl -- totally should have done this. Although it would have been a searing statement on a woman of color who's been ignored due to Vogue's cover myopia. Oh my God, I wish LIZZO had worn it.

Well, gosh. I wish I liked the bronze one.

YES, that is the swan dress. The caption was a bit confusing -- I THINK that is a Givenchy black dress but it said "Gucci, Givenchy..." and I know Givenchy did not make the swan, so.

That hot pink number is Gaultier.

That look on the right reminds me of when John Galliano tried to make everyone look like a pirate.

Katy Perry wore this in 2008 at the MTV Europe Music Awards. I believe the carousel actually does turn.
