I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!! She won Best Dressed in our poll this year (just inching out Rihanna), and I think that was very well deserved. This is so stunning.

This might be one of my favorite Met Gala looks of all time.

This, too.

I have a lot of concerns about her head choices, but this robe is beautifully done.

I will say that I think the beading work on this IS objectively stunning. Kanye looks doubtful.

This feels very on the nose. (I do love those shoes in general, however.)

I kinda want to see Jennifer in Donatella's dress.

I THINK this was her first Met Gala, and she looks so good in this!

I truly do not know what this has to do with China? Wouldn't it be neat if Beyonce showed up at the next major event in like...something INCREDIBLY severe and plain -- just as sort of a surprise to everyone. (She certainly has the face to carry it off!)

I decided that everything with a cape fit into this category. She could honestly wear this again now, easy.

At the time, I theorized that Katy had something very cartoonishly Chinese ready to go, and then thought better of it. I'm not sure if I get this. It's Jeremy Scott, and it got him sued for copyright infringement. (He settled out of court.)

This remains VERY cool.

This isn't really on theme -- that I recall? -- but it is literally big. (The inside, by the way, was lined in grey, which is very clever.) I am worried it's too much skirt.

Kelli looks pretty, and Ken is swoony as ever.

At the time, Heather said that she looked like she was floating in on a cloud of Satanic dry ice, and now that's all I can see.

But this was GOOOOOOOD.

So was this.

Listen, I do ove a cape AND chinoiserie.

This is a most aggressive bow.

Her head doesn't quite seem finished -- a LOT of women went for the topknot this evening -- but this dress is undeniably very cool.

This feels potentially a bit musty on Lisa. (Lenny of course is deeply foine, as usual.)

Poppies, ON a Poppy. You sort of have to give her that.

In retrospect, she had to be wondering if she needed to have saved this for the Catholic Imagination year!
