The dress is pretty -- as are the shoes -- but I don't know that this standard slinky affair at all relates to Rei Kawakubo's aesthetic. It's just Coach trying once again to be like, "We're not just for handbags!" And I'll give them that it looks LESS like a purse lining than their usual offerings. But it's still not making me charge out to investigate.

However, for everything I said about wishing she'd gone bigger, there IS something to flaunting your man while wearing something that looks like a nightgown, as if to say, "Do I wear this when we are HONKING? YOU BETCHA." ("Honking" is a euphemism developed by accident in one of my FB groups, but it stuck because it made us all laugh, and I LOVE IT, so I hope they don't mind me sharing it.)

We also got a fair amount of theatrical canoodling. "He is so precious to me," she is thinking. "Am I precious to him?" And The Weeknd is thinking, "I hope she's not singing that David Silver song again," which I hope we can all assume means this earworm is FOR REAL, and that he'll decide to cope with it by remaking it. And so I'm putting it out into the universe: The Weeknd, please cover "You Are So Precious To Me (Am I Precious To You)."

"MINE."
