Kate went head to toe on this one, with frosted locks. As Stella dresses go, this isn't bad, but it's not for this occasion. And I'd have LOVED to see it on Kate in, say, fuchsia. Some other time.

Zoey Deutch in Tory Burch

Well, listen, those shoes need to go straight to detention. But the dress is not bad -- the gigantic sleeves do at least make a bit more sense at an avant garde event.

Allison Williams in DVF

I don't mind this, actually. It's very relaxed-chic. I have NO IDEA how it fits the theme but half the time I have to cry uncle on that one anyway. I do think, however, that we're learning Allison Williams's face can only take so much makeup. This is way too much on her. Which might've been the intent, but again... I cannot rightly tell.

Margaret Qualley in Prabal Gurung

This is totally beautiful, and should've gotten more attention.

ALSO really fantastic. And in a weird way, her body art completes it.

Stella Maxwell in H&M

Did H&M just have a LOT of clearance necklaces to clear out?

The more of the underskirt we see, the more this all falls apart for me.

Sophie Turner in Louis Vuitton

Well... I mean, I'm glad to see Louis Vuitton designing something less demented, but I don't know where it fits in here. That skirt fabric is pretty, at least?

The back ruffles feel like a perfunctory attempt at drama.

The Met Gala 2017: Women in White
Including a Prabal dress that makes me wonder why there weren't more of them.
