The lattice hat is apparently a Puerto Rico reference, which was clever. This whole thing is well-conceived, and I am dying to know what's in the bag. What's in the baaaaaag. (Probably nothing. But it could also be EVERYTHING.)

He worked with Law Roach on this, and I'll let him tell it. This is from the pre-show, when he said he's basically an homage to the mannequin or original dress form: "When we talk about tailoring and dandyism, there is no fashion without the frame. So I'm the frame. I feel so special, and lifted... Even in studying about what I wanted to wear, I learned so much about my past. I am the representation of the pain and the suffering but also the triumphs of what our people have gone through. I’m in my armor. I’m in my truth.”

She's an Alessandro girl, so this was always going to be Valentino. I don't love the vibe -- whatever tailoring there is gets lost in it.

It's better from the side? There is also a lace panel in the back. I guess the feathers are fun, but I don't think she ever gets his best work, which is crazy considering how loyal she is.

Did it need black shoes? Or to lose the vest? The component parts aren't quite gelling for me.

This is very understated, to say the least. Well, other than the giant fur. I appreciated the tailoring better once I saw it without the coat.

This is a Josephine Baker reference. She so often dresses post-apocalyptically that it's really nice to see her in something simple and different.
