This gown shares applique elements with Julianne Moore's custom Chanel from the Oscars; this is basically the mad souped-up version of that, dusted in Miracle Gro and then watered for eight months. However, I do feel lke... the flowers in this hue evoke poppies, to me, and bedecking oneself in a flower known for producing opium is... well, it's a choice. Not one I would have made, though, but she was already pretty far down the road from where I would live.
Holy toenails, though: ANNA WINTOUR HAS A PEDICURE. This NEVER HAPPENS. WHAT SORCERY HAS BEWITCHED HER AND BROUGHT HER TO MY PREFERRED DARK SIDE.

From the back, you can see that the sleeves appear to be part of a bolero. Hey, at least she didn't skimp on the drama.

Put her next to Bee, though, and it's like,"Ohhh, now THAT is a gown." It has a lot of the cultural elements in it, but deployed in a truly beautiful and respectful way. (If I am wrong about the appropriateness, of course, please speak up in the comments.)

Okay, I am not sure about that bird pecking her buttock. Those could be a bridge too far, and might take it from an elegant place into a gimmicky one? But the way the feathers on the second one spread into the train is really arresting.
