It is a measure of how much Lupita is loved that people on Twitter immediately came up with all kinds of theories so as to explain WHAT is happening here, like, THERE HAS TO BE A GOOD REASON FOR THIS. The most prevalent consensus is that this was Josephine Baker-inspired. And as inspiration goes, that is certainly a good one. But in terms of execution...I feel that it could have gone better. I don't know that Mrs Prada's dream was to have everyone on Twitter basically go, "WTF LUPITA NO WHY IS THIS HAPPENING I CAN'T OH GOD NO WHY WHY I CANNOT."
