A lot of people REALLY hated this. But Anna Wintour was never going to show up in a giant Marchesa-style ball gown. I feel like this is as poofy and dramatic as she was EVER going to get, so the concept of the theme -- any theme -- is almost moot when it comes to her. She's the playground monitor: She sets the rules, and then just wants to sit back and see who follows them.
