"I'm HERRRRRRE!"
THIS is amazing.
This dress was distressing to me. I LOATHE what the bodice is doing her. It's wringing her chest out like lemons.
And that's a shame, because the back is very striking.
I don't always love the cat-ear bodice -- yes, I totally made up that term -- but I think she is killing this.
Whereas this looks like the sad discount version. Which technically it actually might be.
Someone in Fug Nation noted that this is a Molly Ringwald "Pretty In Pink" moment, and now that's all I can see. It's... a lot of heavy fabric in a drab hue.
Potentially great, if it were a few inches higher. HOIKATHON.
Nice jacket and jewels, but not for this party, really. Also, she looks tired. Maybe she has been up late trying to figure out where REVENGE went wrong and how it could've been saved.
Strangely, this could have been worse. But I'm still not on board. It's slacks and bandaging.
And THIS doesn't show her off to her best advantage EITHER. Let's not bring back the mighty ruff.
Nor the mighty sideboob.
Kendall is trying to work as a model -- and posed at the Met with several of them, and has booked jobs -- so I will give her what she wants here and lump her in with the others. And I do not like her dress. It just LOOKS like Topshop.
I feel like this is the Met Ball equivalent of throwing on a sweatshirt to hang out with your friends.
I love that this photo looks like some random dude is trying to look up her dress.
Very pretty, and probably unimpeachable.
Ditto. Good gravy, she's so beautiful.
Meh. That bodice looks plasticky. Pass.
That's gorgeous, but I feel a little like her head isn't showing up to play.
I also like that, and it's repairing a lot of the damage Kim Kardashian's rampage through Balmain did a week or so ago.
Make it a minidress and wear it someplace else, yes?
So, Getty captioned EVERY photo of her as Linda Evangelista. And I was all appalled that they didn't see it was Stephanie Seymour, until I saw one picture that made me think, "... MAAAYBE I am crazy?" But no. Fug Nation backed me up. And Linda Evangelista may be enraged, because that dress is twee and awful -- she is lovely but WAY past the point of looking like a 12-year old at a chorus concert -- and I joked on Twitter that she should file a lawsuit and call it "Freedom '90 vs. November Rain."
I feel like Kim Kardashian ACTUALLY wanted this. THANK GOD she didn't get it.
