Hailee Steinfeld

This is evocative of The Greatest Dress Ever, aka the Diane Kruger Prabal. It's more youthful, which is perfect for Hailee, and the peek of pink is cute too. The shoes are a COMPLETE snore of a letdown, and she NABs (I know it should still be NAB, technically, but... it's the Wild West up in here), but the rest of it is such a lovely match of gown and girl. She had one of my favorites last year, too -- the Donna Karan gown with the safety pins -- so she's on a Met Ball roll.

And the back is so lovely, too. She's so self-assured. You could have guessed this would be any number of twenty- or thirty-something starlets and had a good case. How do kids get that much POISE at that age, and where the heck was mine?

Not to start a drama, but a lot of people on the Internet thought Zoe Saldana was going to wear Prabal -- and in fact, the last time she did was this custom hodge-podge of a hot mess, which makes me wonder if she was like, "Er, Prabs?
