So, Laverne would've flown from LA the morning after the Emmys -- or even the night of, I guess, if she left the parties early enough -- to be in NYC in time to look twinkling at this. This is SO SUPERB. I just... I am really in love with it.

## Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries Van Noten

Why so smirky, Maggie? This is the best thing you've worn in ages! You killed it.

## Iman in Zac Posen

"Hi. I'm Iman. Any questions?"

## Misty Copeland in Zuhair Murad

The side abs aren't my world-favorite, but honestly, it's still a pretty smashing dress. Are people just getting better at this?!?

## Gina Gershon

I MEAN. Gina Gershon busted out a cape! She looks awesome. Also, she's the only good part of *Riverdale* from last season.

## Morena Baccarin (in Jeffrey Taylor) and Ben Mackenzie

I keep forgetting these two are together. This is a nice frock, but it's much more daytime than the ones that came before it, so it suffers a little in comparison.

## Gloria Reuben

And, score one for Jeanie Boulet.

## Courtney B. Vance

He ALSO attended the Emmys. Presumably he had to leave Angela behind to shoot *911*.

## Ellen Burstyn

I say this with affection, and as no insult: I cannot wait to be the age where I can just throw on a MASSIVE fancy scarf and it makes the outfit dressy. Can that age be now?

## Jill Hennessy

Yes, we see, thank you!
