Maybe if she traded in the death traps on her feet, and then scouted out some pants. ## Keke Palmer ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000al-1683059007.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000al) Sergio Hudson, Keke Palmer The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 She's with Sergio Hudson, who designed her gala dress as well as this little rainbow number. Keke Palmer's blossoming from Fug Madness winner to fierce fashionista has been DELIGHTFUL to witness. ## Rihanna ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/GettyImages-1252536249-1683059337-scaled.jpg) NEW YORK, NY - MAY 1: Rihanna is seen heading out for dinner on May 1, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by MEGA/GC Images) I guess this is the casual version of what she wore on the red carpet. I think... on balance, this whole night did not go as Rihanna might have hoped. The EXTREME lateness of her arrival, and the only-okay outfit, did not lead to the coronation I think she might have expected. ## Lizzo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529ek-1683059184.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529ek) Lizzo The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 I don't know why I can ONLY see through her waistband? But this would be so much nicer if I were not staring at her underpants. ## Kendall Jenner in Nensi Dojaka ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/GettyImages-1486984086-1683070013.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 01: Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny are seen heading to a Met Gala afterparty on May 01, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by Gotham/GC Images) SPEAKING OF. [This is a dupe of a vintage Chanel outfit](https://www.instagram.com/p/CrxDJ5SNNro/?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), and it's extremely on-brand that the big change she made is going from full-coverage fake underpants to a thong version. Also... just because you can doesn't mean you should etc. ## Emily Ratajkoswski in custom Dilara Findikoglu ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894997x-1683058996.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Sansho Scott/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894997x) Emily Ratajkowski ApresMET: Presented by Carlos Nazario, Emily Ratajkowski, Paloma Elsesser, Raul Lopez, Renell Medrano and WSA, Private Residence, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 02 May 2023 SAY IT AGAIN LOUDER FOR THE KIDS IN THE BACK. For reasons that are impossible to fathom. ## Olivia Wilde ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529ey-1683059144.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529ey) Olivia Wilde The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 This ALSO does not surprise me. ## Janelle Monae ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529fg-1683059098.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529fg) Janelle Monae The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 MUST WE. ## Adut Akech ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894997k-1683059019.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Sansho Scott/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894997k) Adut Akech ApresMET: Presented by Carlos Nazario, Emily Ratajkowski, Paloma Elsesser, Raul Lopez, Renell Medrano and WSA, Private Residence, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 02 May 2023 She looks like a cheerleader who got hazed. ## Ava Max ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895011cm-1683058903.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Ben Rosser/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895011cm) Ava Max The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 That skirt could be interesting, but I feel like... with a bodysuit on top rather than a tube top, right? ## Simi Liu ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000o-1683058915.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000o) Simu Liu The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 Oy, NO. ## Billie Eilish in Lu'u Dan ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000q-1683058928.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000q) Billie Eilish The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 To me, THAT is how you do an afterparty. Get comfy and ditch the shapewear. ## Letitia Wright ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895011cw-1683059880.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Ben Rosser/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895011cw) Letitia Wright The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 Again with the comfort! ## Olivia Rodrigo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895011g-1683059891.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Ben Rosser/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895011g) Olivia Rodrigo The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 This is vintage Chanel sourced from Tab Vintage, and it's perfect for her. Her hair and makeup are also much better here than they were at the Gala; they maybe went a little too kooky with that. ## Yara Shahidi ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000cl-1683058937.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000cl) Yara Shahidi The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 There are a lot of optical tricks going on here that my eyes don't love. ## Chloe Fineman ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000cy-1683058949.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000cy) Chloe Fineman The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 I ALMOST feel badly about how much we tore into her and Derek Blasberg's efforts. ALMOST. The thing is, there's no way they didn't both know it was a shitshow. She looks fine here. ## Jenna Ortega ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000bj-1683058960.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000bj) Jenna Ortega The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 Ugh, the Thom Browne Little-Girl Sexpot aesthetic annoys me so much. ## Mary J. Blige ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000an-1683058972.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000an) Mary J. Blige The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 I feel badly that this is such a bad picture of Mary J., but I have to laugh, because that is exactly how I feel when I go out these days. I'm out of practice. ## Coco Rocha ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895000at-1683058984.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Yvonne Tnt/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13895000at) Coco Rocha The Standard with Janelle Monae Host the Boom Met Gala After-Party, Boom Boom Room, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 Many folks wondered where Coco was at the Gala. She and Karl certainly worked together a lot. But a lot of name models didn't attend the Gala itself. We may never know why; Coco doesn't seem like she'd have been doing it out of protest? I enjoy this OTT soap villain outfit. ## Precious Lee ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894997r-1683059031.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Sansho Scott/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894997r) Precious Lee ApresMET: Presented by Carlos Nazario, Emily Ratajkowski, Paloma Elsesser, Raul Lopez, Renell Medrano and WSA, Private Residence, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 02 May 2023 This is some messy Chanel. ## Cardi B and Offset ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529gv-1683059055.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529gv) Cardi B, Offset The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 This is all fine and good, but she changed outfits like she was the VMA host, or something. Sheesh. ## Paloma Elsesser ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894997an-1683059064.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Sansho Scott/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894997an) Paloma Elsesser ApresMET: Presented by Carlos Nazario, Emily Ratajkowski, Paloma Elsesser, Raul Lopez, Renell Medrano and WSA, Private Residence, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 02 May 2023 At what point do they all cancel each other out? ## Mindy Kaling ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529fc-1683059109.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529fc) Mindy Kaling The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 Cute! ## Lily James ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529ev-1683059132.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529ev) Lily James The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 This was a pretty good night for her, sartorially. ## Anne Hathaway ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529em-1683059155.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529em) Anne Hathaway The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 I like this laid-back party look for her. ## Imaan Hammam ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529et-1683059169.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529et) Imaan Hammam The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 That's quite fabulous -- I love that the whole dress is like the giant necktie attached to the collar. ## Cara Delevingne ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/GettyImages-1252536705-1683059222.jpg) NEW YORK, NY - MAY 1: Cara Delevingne is seen leaving the Met Gala after party on May 1, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by MEGA/GC Images) I quite like that as well -- very VERY similar idea, but longer and with the peek of red. They pair nicely. ## Doja Cat ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529el-1683059196.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529el) Doja Cat The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 Inquiring minds wanted to know if she took off the cat face, and she did. ## Paris and Nicky Hilton ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529eh-1683059205-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529eh) Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton Rothschild The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 Nicky looks very put-together and somehow Paris looks like a Paris impersonator. ## Bella Ramsey ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/GettyImages-1486986676-1683059240.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 01: Bella Ramsey attends the Karl Lagerfeld Met Gala After Party at The Mark Hotel on May 01, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by Jared Siskin/Getty Images for Karl Lagerfeld) Ooh, the sketches on the blouse are a neat idea. ## Coco Rocha ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/GettyImages-1486986757-1683059252.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 01: Coco Rocha attends the Karl Lagerfeld Met Gala After Party at The Mark Hotel on May 01, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by Jared Siskin/Getty Images for Karl Lagerfeld) The Coco scorecard reads Afterparties 2, Gala 0\. Also... have we found hair that Coco cannot quite carry? I didn't think it existed, but it might be... whatever this is. ## Penelope Cruz ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/GettyImages-1252536324-1683059308-scaled.jpg) NEW YORK, NY - MAY 1: Penelope Cruz is seen at the Met Gala after party on May 1, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by MEGA/GC Images) I might have liked it if she'd worn this inside. It's a common theme but it's also different for her, and what she ended up wearing was so... standard. ## Stephanie Hsu ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895201y-1683059364.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Richie Buxo/Shutterstock (13895201y) Stephanie Hsu Met Costume Gala After Party, The Standard, New York, USA - 01 May 2023 Psst. Karl wore pants. ## Rachel Brosnahan ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895201af-1683059845.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Richie Buxo/Shutterstock (13895201af) Rachel Brosnahan Met Costume Gala After Party, The Standard, New York, USA - 01 May 2023 That's a trade up from her nipple splotches. ## Lea Michele ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895201d-1683059857.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Richie Buxo/Shutterstock (13895201d) Lea Michele Met Costume Gala After Party, The Standard, New York, USA - 01 May 2023 I have such a reaction to her that I can't get into her outfits, even when they're objectively fine. ## Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13895201ad-1683059868.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Richie Buxo/Shutterstock (13895201ad) Priyanka Chopra Met Costume Gala After Party, The Standard, New York, USA - 01 May 2023 This ALSO would have been fun inside, because again, it's so different for her. A big Prom ball gown is not. ## Kate Hudson and Madelyn Cline ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/GettyImages-1486996975-1683070000.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - MAY 01: Kate Hudson (L) and Madelyn Cline are seen in NoHo on May 01, 2023 in New York City. (Photo by Gotham/GC Images) I forgot they know each other from Glass Onion. It's weird to see some of the big names who were NOT at the Gala but wanted to come to the parties. Did they turn down the Gala? Or not get invited? I cannot imagine Kate Hudson turning down anything like that, but who knows. ## Lizzo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2023/05/shutterstock_editorial_13894529fw-1683059075.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFA.com/Shutterstock (13894529fw) Lizzo The Mark Hotel: 2023 Met Gala Departures, The Mark Hotel, NYC, Manhattan, New York, United States - 01 May 2023 And finally, the most relatable choice of all.
