(Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) Again, I think she's a genius and I look forward to her EGOT. This makes her look a bit like she's in costume for a *Girls5Eva* plotline, primarily because they wear a lot of one-sleeved costumes -- not always in a good way. This came out a little more overwrought than intended, I think, which is sort of par for the course with this designer for me. ## Gabrielle Union in custom Prada ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319690192-1621817679.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Gabrielle Union poses backstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) This is dreamy! Speaking of girl groups, please cast Gabrielle Union in a movie about one from the 60s; she looks amazing in this. ## Padma Lakshmi in Christian Siriano ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319693338-1621817716.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Padma Lakshmi poses backstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) This is very va-va-voom, which is not always an easy effect to pull off with a pantsuit. Padma looks slightly concerned in this photo, but everything is okay, Padma! (I might have argued for cigarette pants? But I would have been accepting of being shouted down.) ## Dixie D'Amelio in Ralph & Russo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319695975-1621823153.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Dixie D'Amelio poses backstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) Someone is pouring a LOT of money into betting that she can make the transition from TikTok to what I guess I'll call more traditional media, and far be it from me to say that she can't -- what do I know? I do know, however, that this dress is very pretty. ## Cade Foehner and Gabby Barrett in Nicolas Jebran ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319689273-1621817662-scaled.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: (L-R) Cade Foehner and Gabby Barrett pose backstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. It's very striking, but... ## Gabby Barrett in Nicolas Jebran ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319690206-1621817692.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Cade Foehner poses backstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) ...I wish she'd saved it for a bigger event! This is like a Met Gala train. Or Cannes! Far be it from me to tell people to dress down -- it's been a long 14 months, get out there!! -- but this is a lot of dress for the Billboard Awards. (I think her stylist tried to mitigate this with more low-key hair and makeup, but you can't really mitigate this quite amazing train.) ## Gabby Barrett in Nicolas Jebran ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319697908-1621817729-scaled.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Gabby Barrett accepts the Top Country Female Artist Award onstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
