I am NOT wild about the way the skirt didn't hold up to the journey. I think that fabric doesn't like being that LENGTH, necessarily, because it ends up RESTING rather than flowing and that sends crinkles or ripples all the way back up. The bodice has a Lovely Display Of Napkins In Different Land's End Colors look to it, though; while that should NOT be a compliment, I ended up charmed both by that and the overall Eau de Caftan that the sides had. Then again, I'm sitting here in compression socks because our book was due and the VMAs happened and then the Emmys and I haven't stood up in like five days (it's my own fault; my work-life balance right now is all wrong). So of COURSE Eau de Caftan is going to seduce me.

I should have mentioned before that she's chosen -- as we repeated to each other many times -- Sad Lady Mary hair, and I think THAT is dragging this down for me almost as much as anything. Her usual enviable bob would have been enough.
