Arrivals - 93rd Academy Awards, Los Angeles, USA - 25 Apr 2021 I would not have guessed this was Vera Wang; apparently, per the brand's Instagram, "Andra Day chose a custom liquid gold metal mesh cut away gown with classic Vera Wang draping, asymmetric straps and a high slit skirt that plunges into a dramatic side train." This feels VERY Studio 54 to me. I really like Vanessa Kirby so much. She's a great actor, she's so pretty, and I think her styling is often kind of a bummer, as this just feels sort of underwhelming -- even though it's custom! I wish she'd worn [the Versace she wore to the BAFTAs to this](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/many-folks-opted-for-metallics-and-patterns-at-the-baftas-04-2021/). This is just...a bummer. I think I wish there were more contrast between her skin tone and the dress's color. Overall, I feel like this is a bit of a do-over.
