The film is directed by Dee Rees, and stars Mary J. Blige, Jason Mitchell, Rob Morgan and Carey Mulligan. It streams on NETFLIX.

I like this -- it feels different for her; remember when she only ever wore black or cream, or so it seemed? -- but I can't decide if the pink dress needs a hint of spice, or if the Laura Ashley floaties on her arms are enough.

## Mary J Blige

Are those the same boots [Nicole Kidman just wore](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/the-amas-continue-lots-of-people-busted-out-black-outfits-11-2017)? I'm still into them. And I'm VERY excited for the randomness that Mary J. will bring to awards season fashion.

## Jessica Chastain

Great color on her, but this is another in her long list of So Close dresses. It's SO CLOSE but the bodice is not wrangling her chest equally, and it's extremely visually distracting.

## 'Lady Bird' BAFTA film screening, New York, USA - 19 Nov 2017

Well, I know who I'm picking to write and direct *The Golden Girls: The Silver Days*.
