This Christopher Kane is from the same family as the one Shailene Woodley wore to the Met Ball, so he's obviously doing a good job with Girls Of A Young Age. Wait, that sounded pervy. Oops. What I mean is, he's hit on a dress that's sophisticated but isn't overly mature, so it keeps the younger actresses LOOKING young without risk of anyone saying, "My, how DISNEY."

I wasn't sure about the velvet at first -- especially as it's a bit seasonally odd -- but boy, the detail on that is lovely. And the shoes are fierce. She looks a little stiff in it, with her hand on the belt (maybe it wasn't comfortable?), but it's a good look, even if it is a little Daughter Claus Goes To The Prom. Because hey, Daughter Claus SHOULD go to the Prom. Santa should know how it feels to panic. It'll keep him sharp.

I veer between thinking Proenza is really funky, or thinking it looks like somebody stole her pants while she was swimming in the lake at camp, and she's using the fabric off an old lawn chair as a modesty sarong.

This is okay, although it's weird that she's clutching it like grim death. It's maybe not the most flattering shape on her, but the print somehow seems perfect for the movie she's promoting.

And she's definitely learning to give dramatic face. Something about it scares me. Like she wants me to mistake her for twenty. Please go down Dakota Fanning Street, child, and not Lohan Boulevard (it has to be a boulevard, so it's wide enough for terrible drivers wearing pants with someone else's cocaine in them). Look at the two of them: People revere Dakota and fear (or fear for, or both) Lindsay. Being respected is cool. So hang in there and follow the light, kid.

WHAT DID I JUST SAY. No, I'm being dramatic, this totally isn't Lohanning it. But I am concerned about the trouser socks. They might be a gateway accessory. Vanessa Hudgens showed up in them with sandals, and it kicked off a downward fashion slide that ended in transparent lace pants and a Fug Madness victory. BE STRONG, CHLOE. ACCESSORIES CAN BE TEMPTRESSES TOO.
