I'm not sure what else she's wearing, but this can certainly be part of my Ode to Coats, which I plan to perform at this season's family holiday party.

Sadly, I think this is a bit of a dud on her. The color is lovely, but the cut and the fabric totally make her look like she's going out for her ice dance free skate. And while Taylor Swift would make an excellent ice dancer in TV movie -- and now I sort of want that to happen -- in real life, it doesn't quite feel like her jam.

And I can never resist a striped top and a camel coat. Here, she's off to see Emma Stone in Cabaret and it occurs to me: How are Emma Stone and Taylor Swift not very best friends right now? Doesn't that make sense?
