Prince Charles, Camilla, and Kate

As you know from last year's coverage of the Queen's Garden Parties, the Queen has several garden parties every summer at Buckingham Palace. What Kate Wore has a good run down of a variety of aspects of the event -- petit fours!! -- but suffice it to say, don't we all wish we were going to a garden party in a giant hat instead of sitting at work right now? Camilla looks predictably feathered, but also rather nice.

Kate Middleton

This is sunny and adorable. I guess it's good I wasn't invited to this event because I fear I would have blurted out, "WOW, you've really popped!" and then gestured awkwardly at her bump with my wee glass of champagne and then noted, "sorry, I'm an American."

Kate Middleton

You may recognize this hat from last summer's Order of the Garter event. I MISS that McQueen dress, and she probably does, too.

Queen Elizabeth

It will not surprise you to see that the Queen looks like the Queen. It must be comforting to know she will always look similarly pastel.

The Chelsea Flower Show

it appears that the Queen LOVES the Chelsea Flower Show. But honestly, as long as you have enough Claritin and you aren't attacked by bees, who DOESN'T enjoy a Flower Show now and then? Per The Guardian, this year the Royal Horticultural Society has lifted its ban on gnomes!

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry

"LOOK GRANDMOTHER! GNOMES!"

(Actually, they're looking at the Sentebale Forget-me-not garden, which is the garden put together by Harry's charity and designed as a tribute to Princess Diana. Apparently, he looked over the plans for it while he was in Afghanistan. The image of Prince Harry making gardening notes in a tent in Afghanistan is kind of too much for me.)

Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene on Official Visit In Corsica

Meanwhile, Prince Albert and his downtrodden bride are visiting Corsica. Per Wikipedia, "In Corsica, vendetta was a social code that required Corsicans to kill anyone who wronged the family honour. Between 1821 and 1852, no fewer than 4,300 murders were perpetrated in Corsica." I feel like Charlene here would secretly like to make it 4,301. Her suit isn't terrible but it looks slightly like a straitjacket.

Princess Charlene

She DOES look good in a halter top. Can we agree this ISN'T a jumpsuit so I can sleep at night?

Dior Cruise Collection 2014 - Front Row

They also went to the Dior show. I'm not crazy about her dress, but this is noteworthily the HAPPIEST I've ever seen her. It's a start.

Dior Cruise Collection 2014 - Cocktail

And, finally, a little something from the Marion Cotillard Collection.. Points for color?

Mostly Well Played, Various Royal People At Various Events
This is just a big old Royal Grab Bag. We've got a little Kate, and some Prince Harry, and a dash of Her Majesty, and the return of Princess Charlene, the poor dear. [Photos: Getty]
