(Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) Years before I ever thought anyone had bumbled into this idea, SJP found AND WORE a split-leg bell-bottom catsuit. ## 1993: Anthony Kiedis ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-98635061-1591754627.jpg) Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers (Photo by Barry King/WireImage) One never knows where hunger pangs will strike. ## 1993: Keanu Reeves ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-75892808-1591754558.jpg) Keanu Reeves (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) Oh, Keanu, did you walk there? OVER the mountains? ## 1993: Pauly Shore ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-111323150-1591754829.jpg) Pauly Shore during 2nd Annual MTV Movie Awards at Disney Studios in Burbank, California, United States. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) I didn't understand Pauly Shore *then*. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic, Inc) In case you're wondering what Dan Cortese is up to now, his Wikipedia page ends with the note that SNL's Stefon said his name a lot. ## 1993: Whitney and Bobby ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-111182653-1591754766.jpg) Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown during 1993 MTV Movie Awards at Sony Studios in Culver City, California, United States. (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) Angela's sequel to that outfit is MUCH better. ## 1994 Will and Sheree Smith ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-74697011-1591754504.jpg) Will Smith and Sheree at the Sony Studios in Culver City, California (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) She can probably wear that skirt again today. ## 1994: Kennedy ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-105919104-1591754713.jpg) Kennedy during 3rd Annual MTV Movie Awards at Sony Studios in Culver City, California, United States. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) This is admirable commitment to a pattern. Is she dressing in code? Am I supposed to decipher something, like an early escape room? ## 1994: Chris Isaak ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-154740438-1591754925.jpg) CULVER CITY,CA - JUNE 4: Musician/Actor Chris Isaak attends the Third Annual MTV Movie Awards on June 4, 1994 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic, Inc) The best thing about the early Movie Awards is how ... low-rent they looked. Like, these two look like two bloggers with standing room tickets waiting for the doors to open at a fashion show. ## 1994: Halle Berry ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-137596625-1591754890.jpg) CULVER CITY,CA - JUNE 4: Actress Halle Berry attends the Third Annual MTV Movie Awards on June 4, 1994 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. (Photo by Ron Galella, Ltd./Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) This is the exact thing [he wore to the Met Gala in this same year](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/cfdas-pre-1995/13th-annual-cfda-awards-5?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io), right? He must have REALLY been committed to shine. ## 1994: Toni Braxton ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-78877830-1591754567.jpg) Toni Braxton (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) There's going to be a *National Treasure* prequel about finding the missing piece of this dress, which will reveal a lost tablet of Commandments. ## 1995: Juliette Lewis, Intern George, Tarantino ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-74699941-1591754513.jpg) Juliette Lewis, George Clooney & Quentin Tarantino at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California (Photo by Jim Smeal/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) There is something so innocent about the thick white tights and jelly sandals. ## 1995: Courteney Cox ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-75520321-1591754540.jpg) Courteney Cox at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California (Photo by Jim Smeal/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) The funny thing is, if she rolls up her sleeves, it rolls DOWN her shirt. ## 1995: Tori Spelling ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-75879897-1591754549.jpg) Tori Spelling (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic) I wonder how many people walked up to her and were like, "DONNA MARTIN GRADUATES." ## 1995: TLC ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-80185605-1591754593.jpg) Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, Chili and T-Boz of TLC (Photo by Ron Galella/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) It's not that I LIKE those pants, necessarily, but they look quarantine-comfortable. (The D&G undies... why was the logo upside down? Presumably the wearer doesn't need to read it all the time.) ## 1995: Cindy Crawford ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-80221589-1591754602.jpg) Cindy Crawford (Photo by SGranitz/WireImage) This was the year of *Fair Game*, and the less remembered about that, the better. ## 1995: Julianne Moore ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-81102058-1591754611.jpg) Julianne Moore (Photo by Jim Smeal/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) We all had those boots. This is the most relatable her wardrobe has been for me. ## 1995: Cuba Gooding, Jr. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-111192894-1591754793.jpg) Cuba Gooding Jr. during 1995 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles, California, United States. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic, Inc) Okay, and why does Cuba look like he's just waiting at a bus stop? Did no one hire party planners in the nineties? ## 1995: Alicia Silverstone ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-529497746-1591754959.jpg) MTV MOVIE AWARDS (Photo by Frank Trapper/Corbis via Getty Images) "We actually ARE waiting for a bus." ## 1995: Cameron Diaz ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-81525559-1591754619.jpg) Cameron Diaz (Photo by Jim Smeal/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) Seriously, was this just an outdoor cocktail party? Also, hi Cammy. ## 1995 ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-115473655-1591754855.jpg) Cameron Diaz during The 1995 MTV Movie Awards at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California, United States. (Photo by Ke.Mazur/WireImage) She was 23 here, having done *The Mask* and I think *She's The One*, and two years away from *My Best Friend's Wedding*. This hairdo is so clearly a version of the Rachel, right? The slicked down side-swept front, the choppy layers... many tried it; not many succeeded. She's doing better than most. ## 1995: Sandra Bullock ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-103230235-1591754636.jpg) Sandra Bullock (Photo by Jim Smeal/Ron Galella Collection via Getty Images) This hair is substantially less successful. ## 1995: Joey Ramone ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-104841660-1591754643.jpg) Joey Ramone during The 1995 MTV Movie Awards at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California, United States. (Photo by SGranitz/WireImage) I saw this photo and thought, "When will Cate Blanchett play him in a movie?" ## 1995: Lauren Holly and Jim Carrey ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-111166607-1591754732.jpg) Lauren Holly & Jim Carrey during 1995 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles, California, United States. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic, Inc) The Sheers have a deep, insidious reach. ## 1995: Jodie Foster ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-111192448-1591754784.jpg) Jodie Foster during 1995 MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles, California, United States. (Photo by Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic, Inc) Is this some kind of velveteen cargo suit?!? ## 1995: Sharon Stone ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-115488758-1591754864.jpg) Sharon Stone and guest during The 1995 MTV Movie Awards at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California, United States. (Photo by Ke.Mazur/WireImage) These may not be cocktail pajamas. I think they're ACTUAL pajamas. ## 1995 VMAs: Flea ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2020/06/GettyImages-2222358-1591754487.jpg) Flea of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers performs at the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards . (Photo by Frank Micelotta/ImageDirect) So, this was another mis-filed photo, and I didn't know until it was too late. But much like with Lenny, I was not about to deny you. I mean, I don't know how your day is going; you might need Flea's quads.
