Everything starts out fine -- the bodice is good, it fits her well, and it's not gagging me with its peplumosity. The bubble of creamy satin, though, looks like somebody just hemmed it five minutes ago with ten pins and a prayer.

From this angle, it's not as dramatically weird. And I must compliment her on her face. And her skin. AGAIN. And also on the fact that the bodice really does seem properly fitted -- it's easy for stuff that structured to end up wearing you, as we've seen with some ladies on whom they stick out a foot from their skin, like cardboard armor. No such problem here.

But then we come back to the red carpet pictures, and I'm back to thinking the messy skirt does not live up to the promise of the top. Or, to put it in Top Gun parlance, the bodice is writing checks the bottom can't cash.

I am equally torn on the shoes: I both adore them, and think the heels look like she's preparing to hide under the table and use the heels as garter guns, firing elastic lace bullets at unsuspecting victims like a bored 10-year old at his cousin's wedding.

This getup is foxy, though -- it's from the Spike TV's "Dudes Who Like Hot Girls" awards, or whatever. Shame she's about to be disemboweled by the trophy, but at least her innards will look fancy draped across its decorative antlers.
