If those pants were just... regular pants, and not some weirdo half-corset chastity trousers, I would probably love how funky they are. The striped shirt, I think, by all laws of the universe, looks crazy up there with them. It's all a big batch of eyestrain, empirically, but then she's strutting around in the boots and she looks SUPER confident and I can't figure out what alchemy she's using to turn this into... well, if not a precious metal, then at least a pretty darn reasonably valuable one.

And she went bold on the lip, which helps. I am never going to like that cut of pant, but dammit, Shailene, you have so much natural charm. And I NEVER EVER, during the "Secret Life" days, thought I would say that. It just goes to show how the right project can make you and the wrong project can kinda swallow your spirit whole.

I am a little confused as to how the belt works -- it seems bolted to the front, but also buckled on the side. Anyway, no one is more surprised than I am that I'm not outright screaming at how she looks like she's opening a really progressive hipster mime school. Because she DOES look like that, but... in a way where Progressive Hipster Mime School seems like a place that would actually take decent care of your kid.
