Ashley's stylist NEVER does her any favors. MTV needs to throw her a bone, because she's good, and her show is succeeding. There is NO REASON she should look like she's upcycling one of Blanche Devereaux's old blazers.
PARTICULARLY not with those shoes. Nor those cutouts. There's a lot of "nor" here.
Welcome to the Greek National Gymnastics Team's semi-formal.
Apparently, Desi here used to be on The Client List, and now that I type that, it's totally familiar to me. Perhaps that, rather than her MTV affiliation, explains the outfit. I am really pretty sure this would've been better, and not at all tarty, if it were lined.
In fact, I think all the ladies could benefit from better styling. Maybe they should band together and gang-negotiate it into their next contracts.
Tyler on the right just looks sort of pseudo-hipster sloppy. But Dylan... oh, sweet Dylan. He was trying, I guess, but nobody told him that you're not supposed to wear shirts as if you're in the midst of a Bruce Banner rage moment. I seriously... can he breathe?
This is very Lost Boys-esque.
Having this with both tan tulle and white lining is really distracting. Also, her hair seems so... shellacked, and the whole effect is reminiscent of Linda Cardellini's turn on Mad Men, where she popped up looking 42 (she's 37) and talked about having a son who was a freshman at Michigan and I almost passed out.
Holland is lovely, and she's been turning up at Fashion Week a lot, and this is Donna Karan (where she's been an especial regular). Sadly, I keep thinking it looks like her skirt is wearing a raincoat. Pass.
Sure! It could certainly be worse, anyway.
You cannot convince me this isn't Rolf from The Sound of Music. UNLESS you try to convince me it's Friedrich.
