I cannot POSSIBLY IMAGINE what happened to the otherwise adorable Serayah that she wanted to come dressed as a lingerie model who was mauled by a late-70s lawn chair.

I'm not sure the whole "day to night transition" thing is supposed to be translated as "bathing suit to red carpet."

I'm not even totally sure Cada Delevingne considers herself in the Swift Crew, but she did arrive with and pose with it, so she's at least there by association. She also probably looked the best of all of them, so y'all, give Cara a permanent membership for bringing up your average.

Karlie often goes for flat sandals on the red carpet, and I'm torn about it. On one hand, I love when someone gets practical on me, but I ALSO love when tall women are like, "Screw it, I'm going EVEN TALLER." [Please note: I'm not saying tall women only wear flats because they're self-conscious about being tall; I just remember that era where Nicole Kidman supposedly felt pressure to minimize the height differential between her and Tom Cruise, and back in college and such I had tall friends who felt like guys were dismissive of women who were taller than they are, which is STUPID and that's why I love it when a tall lady is like, "YOUR PROBLEM, NOT MINE." I promise this does not equate to meaning that when I see a tall woman in flats I don't think she's self-conscious.) The dress itself is okay, if slightly precarious on top. In a way her choice seems the most confident, in the manner of, "I'm Karlie Kloss and that's probably enough."

This is... not great. Particularly the shoes, which feel very ninth-grade to me somehow. I don't think it's intentionally sheer, at least; it's just blah and then too insubstantial for flashbulbs. I see where it was going, basically, but I don't think it got there.

Being back in with Swifty is doing WONDERS for Selena's hair. This is the best it's looked in a long time.

It did seem significant that, after not really being seen together until "Bad Blood," Selena is suddenly chosen for the front-row slot next to Taylor. Do we think someone needed an image boost? I don't doubt for a second that the person who gets that seat gets it for a carefully chosen reason.

These two don't particularly look like they have ever, in history, said more than two words to each other. Oh Selena. Are you back in for real, or are you renting your spot temporarily to get some good press?

She certainly looks good in it, even if it's not my favorite gown.

I know the least about Ms. Hunt here but she also came out of this better than most.

Well, it's not great. But I love that Mariska is sort of like, "Sure, fine, why not? Taylor Swift named her cat after me and so I'll be in her video for two seconds and end up at the VMAs with a bunch of twentysomethings. LET'S GO." But whither Ellen Pompeo?
