This movie was very much touted as JULIA IS BACK, because a) hair, b) she really did do some terrible movies in the six years before this, c) it intrigued people by dint of being an unusual rom-com, with a deliberately wrong-headed heroine who doesn't get what she wants in a way that feels richly deserved; d) she had not done any tolerable rom-coms since Pretty Woman. And, much as she did with her hair, I wonder if she bristled at that notion and so she leaned away from the Major Movie Star glam and into this weird frumpy eyesore.

Cammy D, however, looks very 1997 Normal, with the addition of a truly adorable handbag. She stole the premiere, kind of the way she stole the movie.

And THERE is a couple I forgot existed! We're going to start doing dating flashbacks, by the way, probably as soon as next week. It is unlikely that these two sensible cats will get their own post, though, so drink in their very sensible sensibleness while you can and then we'll dive into some bigger nonsense later.
