That is just... beautiful. My breath caught when I saw it.

This is pants, which is nutty, of course. But the cape is a damn treat, and on a runway, YES. On Gwyneth Paltrow? PLEASE GOD. But, you know, it's a tough sell anywhere else (and even there).

This has the feel of a yarn collection being used to completion, but it's cool.

Gorgeous. Yes, okay, it's not lined. Let's just issue a blanket Okay Everyone Let's Assume See-Through Stuff Will Get Fixed. Although honestly, you can't really see anything on the model, and the overall effect is so breathtaking. Someone could sell it as-is. Just not, say, Heidi Klum.

I will take it.

I'm sure that'll turn up at an Oscar Post-Party, or somesuch.

This seems a lot funkier and more geometric than he usually goes, but it also works for me.

Naeem does shimmer like no other.

This, too, takes a very specific body. I could see maybe... Nina Dobrev.

This looked so dramatic in motion, but would be hard to wear in any real way.

SO PRETTY.

I'd trim off the giant shoulder flower, but that's just my instinct. What do I know. It's still dreamy as hell.

This is awfully evocative of that Giambattista Valli powder-puff Rihanna wore to last year's Grammys. Although this does at least have a bit of a bodice to it.

This woman needs a ball. By which I mean, a full-on old-school evening of waltzing.

This is a slam dunk. Right? If Kate Hudson weren't so hot for Versace, I'd suggest she clasp this to her bosom immediately.

I wonder if the models at these shows ever heave a sigh of relief, like, "Ahhh, this is an easy job."

Well, THIS model had a bit of a tougher row to hoe.

How many times can I say "Ahhhhh, pretty!!!" It gets boring for everyone.

So, what about this "Eddie the Eagle" movie? Anyone plan to see it?

Also, I think "Cool Runnings" and Eddie the Eagle were the same Olympics. That's a lot of Unlikely Competitors stories for one event.

We also need to discuss that after that Olympics, where he finished last and people felt like he might have exaggerated his story in order to gain acclaim, the Olympics toughened requirements to qualify. Apparently the ski-jumping community was SERIOUSLY DISPLEASED with Eddie.

AND FURTHER, Eddie the Eagle recorded a Finnish pop song, despite not speaking Finnish. He has also carried the Olympic torch, which would seem at odds with how the ski-jumping community felt SHAMED O SO SHAMED.

So what I'm saying is, I can't decide if I care. Then again, "Rudy" is one of the best sports movies ever, even though most of that is bullshit -- and I acknowledge that as a Notre Dame grad -- so maybe a totally fallacious film about Eddie the Eagle is still fine, as long as it's FUN and has a great score. Good luck outdoing the "Rudy" score, though, y'all. It can't be done by another sports movie.

RUDY. RUDY. RUDY. Man, that score is good. Treat yourself to some Jerry Goldsmith later. It's surprisingly effective on a treadmill.

What else can we talk about? I have to pack tonight for our flight back to L.A. Packing for a return flight is much easier because I don't care if my clothes look nice, but then again, somehow my haphazard packing jobs mean none of it fits as well as it did on the way here.

I also bought a terrible coat while I was here because it was subzero wind chill and a puffer coat was required. I firmly believe it. I LOVE cold weather, but my wool Banana Republic trench was not made for REAL winter.

Then again, I never had a puffer coat in high school, when it was -34 and we still had to ride the bus. HOW DID WE SURVIVE.

Also this is pretty (lining etc etc). Hooray! Also hooray: the end of awards season is nigh, and tomorrow I get to hug the beans.

This is what I need to wear after eight days eating my way through the local bagel shop during the day and restaurants at night. Oh, New York, you feed me so right.
