(Photo by Cindy Ord/WireImage) She's in a version of [this dress](https://www.gofugyourself.com/photos/loewe-s-s-2025-rtw/loewe-s25-026-1727669282?ref=go-fug-yourself.ghost.io) (I might like the original better). I think these hems look better when they're... floatier? Or just in motion, period? Then again, she looks a bit like she's hovering and that would be appropriate for a witch, so maybe it IS secretly Elphaba-coded. ## Ariana Grande ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192875295-1736298135.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Ariana Grande attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for National Board of Review) I mean. It's fine? It feels like a refried version of Anne Hathaway's pink Oscars dress from the year she won. Which was ALSO a snore. ## Elle Fanning ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192877546-1736298025.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Elle Fanning attends the 2025 National Board of Review Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/WireImage) This has a whiff of Rich Dilettante about it, in a way that I enjoy on Elle. ## Nicole Kidman ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192878618-1736297997.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Nicole Kidman attends the 2025 National Board of Review Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/WireImage) Nicole looks very nice. She loves dresses like this, which don't seem like much from the front... ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192877411-1736298075.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Nicole Kidman attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for National Board of Review) ... but then take a plunge in the back. ## Michelle Yeoh ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192877579-1736298036.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Michelle Yeoh attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for National Board of Review) This is okay, I guess. It's the National Board of Review; she probably didn't think too hard about it. ## Mikey Madison in custom Louis Vuitton ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192876685-1736298086.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Mikey Madison attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for National Board of Review) Someone ordered this! On purpose! ## Marianne Jean-Baptiste ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192873025-1736298185.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Marianne Jean-Baptiste attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for National Board of Review) Her movie "Hard Truths" has a lot of positive buzz, although she might be on the outside looking in when it comes to the Oscars. I like this dress a lot -- simple but interesting, and certainly elegant. ## Kieran Culkin ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192877428-1736298049.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Kieran Culkin attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images for National Board of Review) I didn't mean to get two photos of Kieran, but I did. So here we have him just straight-up wearing his very interesting color combo... ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192877432-1736298062.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Kieran Culkin attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Mike Coppola/Getty Images) It's TRYING to be an ascot, I think? It has aspirations. ## Sofia Coppola ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192876321-1736298098.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Sofia Coppola attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. She's selling it. ## Jeremy Pope ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192876385-1736298110.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Jeremy Pope attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for National Board of Review) This handsome man could as easily be at the hairdresser about to get a trim, but he ALSO is selling it. ## Arian Moayed ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192874263-1736298122.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Arian Moayed attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Cindy Ord/WireImage) I keep mixing him up with Harris Dickinson, who is in Babygirl. Drew is the one in Queer. And he even helpfully bleached his hair so that I will have an easier time, but it didn't work. ## Christine Baranski ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192873753-1736298148.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: Christine Baranski attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for National Board of Review) They won for Conclave's ensemble, which IS truly excellent. I didn't know Lithgow and Stanley Tucci were even in it until I started watching. Of COURSE Tucci is in it. Tucci is in everything. ## June Squibb ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2025/01/GettyImages-2192873947-1736298161.jpg) NEW YORK, NEW YORK - JANUARY 07: June Squibb attends The National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street on January 07, 2025 in New York City. (Photo by Jamie McCarthy/Getty Images for National Board of Review) JUNE SQUIBB FOR ALL THE THINGS. I hope she gets nominated. I haven't seen enough of the awards movies to have a real opinion, but of the ones I've seen -- Babygirl, Wicked, Nickel Boys, Conclave, A Real Pain, Emilia Perez -- I think Thelma delighted and surprised me the most thoroughly.
