This dress designer is behind this absurd piece of pantyhose. By that standard, Fergie got off easy; this just looks like a fence got the rough end of a broken pepper grinder.
Do tell, though: Does it look like some weird metallic contouring on her nose didn't get blended properly?

I don't know who made this, but if I had to guess, I'd go Fausto Puglisi. And it's a damn sight more fun than another wearable window.

Carrie here got one of the outdoor nighttime performing slots, and in this shot of her, I swear I thought it was Kellie Pickler or some other country blonde. This look is NOT particularly Underwoodian.

The thing is, though, this is way smarter than wearing tiny pants and freezing. It's just not worth it. If that means spending a night looking vaguely like if Sandy from Grease went on American Idol, then sure. Do it.

I mean, she is trying everything she can think of to keep her leotard. Here's an idea: You can wear a leotard ANY OTHER TIME IN YOUR LIFE WHEN IT'S NOT OUTDOORS IN WINTER. I know this might make it strange when you are singing a song called "Cool For The Summer," but seriously, we can imagine the bathing suit this time. It's okay.

Someone on Twitter asked why Jenny McCarthy was in disguise as Travolta in Battlefield Earth and the answer is OH MY GOD SHE IS and I DON'T KNOW BUT IT'S TERRIBLE AND THUS EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER WANTED FOR HER.

Meanwhile, Jessie J is all, "I have NO IDEA how I got this slot because I thought America already said no to me, but I'm HERE and I'm just going to put a coat on over my sweats and go for it."

Nick Jonas is like, "Whatever. I'm just glad I'm singing inside."

Rachel sang "Fight Song" on the NYE pre-show, and while I'm not always a huge fan of this sort of look, it worked fine -- an ethereal gold pleated skirt and a bra-style top, long hair... it was all very Lillith Fair, actually.

I cannot be super polite about this: Why would anyone pay this person to host their New Year's Eve party? Are there really revelers who would fork over a hefty cover charge just for the right to be near someone that even KRIS JENNER kind of wishes would go away?

Mariah already wore something similar to this, so I guess she's going through a phase. A destructive phase.

This is much better, though. I mean... it might also be something Teresa Whatsit from Real Housewives of New Jersey will wear for her inevitable prison release celebration, but at least it looks fine on Mariah.

This, though, is how I always imagine Mariah: coated in sparkles at all times.
