# High Fugshion: Rodarte, New York Fashion Week Fall 2014

For those nights when you're all alone on your moisture farm, dreaming of one day going to a wretched hive of scum and villainy where a hot rogue might kill someone without being fired upon first because WE ALL KNOW HAN SHOT FIRST, GEORGE.

The collection is ostensibly about '70s and '80s nostalgia, but I wonder if it's more calculated than the initial aura of whimsy suggests: [Last season's show](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/new-york-fugshion-week-runway-fugs-and-fabs-of-day-6-09-2013/) was [so roundly derided by critics](https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=11&cad=rja&ved=0CHkQFjAK&url=http%3A%2F%2Fnymag.com%2Fthecut%2F2013%2F09%2Fgivhan-cultural-tourism-as-seen-at-rodarte.html&ei=BIX7UryHG82UrAe7ooGIAg&usg=AFQjCNFZcrXX7VKvoB-wgV--Arham3HPXA&sig2=jJTtGL3CBJVxyrsTr0djiQ&bvm=bv.61190604,d.bmk); this seems aimed at amusing them into submission, while still guaranteeing headlines. The question is, who'll wear it first? Surely Natalie Portman would rather eat spoons.
