Lovely. Oscar de la Renta is always the most opulent show. It's, like, lush daywear for incredibly rich older ladies, and then dresses that are so pretty it hurts.

That is such a dramatic pattern. Much has been made of him having John Galliano around his offices -- not to design, but just to give him a space to try and reinvent himself (and let's leave our thoughts on THAT for another time) -- and while I believe that is true, I do feel like certain things about this show have a Galliano touch to them. Like this bold pattern, and the grungy styling.

How many times will I want to say, "What a color," when I see a dress this season? There have been a LOT of great shades, and there will be more in a minute.
Wouldn't you love it if somebody wore this to the Oscars? Never enough neon at Hollywood's most staid night of stars.
Sigh.

There always has to be at least one black ballgown in the mix.
This is the part where I cry about my lack of clothing budget.

Throwing the red gloves with this is cute. Mostly I just want to touch the tweed. (It IS tweed, right? Do my eyes deceive?)
I feel like Anna Wintour is going to own this whole thing someday.
So easy and pretty. I mean, as easy as anything is that might require Spanx.

I hope you don't hate this color, because it's back.
AND there were a lot of capes, which are tremendous for making big entrances and exits.
However, I have no idea what's happening here. None at all. It's like a lampshade mated with an equestrian's hat.
Matt Damon liked this one. He poked his wife in the leg and said, "That's great." I thought you should know.
This is stunning. Line it and slap that on somebody right now, please.
So shiny. Like a circulatory system made of GOLD.
This one has an interesting texture to it, and a great color. I'm not sure about the ties at both the waist and the shoulder, but I guess... it's a theme?
Imagine it without the tulle over the bodice, I think. Or, maybe without all of it.

I mean, if you're a favorite of Duchess Kate, it's just good business right now to make sure she feels like she has maternity options.
This was super simple, but the color is what made it special. It's one of those that could also accommodate the Royal Baby Bump.

Do we think this should lose the sleeves, or is it great as-is? I'd love a redhead in this.
This was one of my favorites. That teal was absolutely unbelievable on the runway.
I would be stunned if somebody didn't wear this as soon as it's available. I'd love to see Kerry Washington in it with a deep red lip.

So very pretty. It's not artsy enough for black-and-white obsessive Rooney Mara, but Julianne Moore ALSO likes that combination. Wouldn't this have been better than her saggy SAGs Chanel?
I love this. And Kristen Stewart would kill it.
There were a couple versions of this dress, each barer than the last. Katherine Heigl was at the show and I would pay her good money to wear this to her next rom-com premiere.
