I appreciate the whimsy here. Cherie Balch of Shrimpton Couture pointed out on Insta that this is a knock-off of a Helmut Lang, though, and she definitely knows her stuff. Perhaps it was not possible, but how wonderful it would have been for her to wear the Lang piece instead. (Also: I love Oscar de la Renta and I am very surprised they would knock off anything.)

And Zoe looks fab! This has a "vintage First Lady holds a formal fondue party vibe" and I mean every word of that description in the most positive sense. (It is not vintage, it's new Miu Miu -- but the vibe is right.)

I don't love the white shoes but it took me forever to notice them and when I saw this photo originally, I said the words "VEE! NUS!!" very loudly. She looks GLAM, and unfortunately, it's another D&G. Pretty much everyone is back in with them.
