(Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) I assume this is Chanel, and it's absurd. Knit hotpants? Please. ## Colman Domingo ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179847454-1729558498.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Colman Domingo receives the 'Maverick Award' during the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) And bless him, I don't know WHAT his legs are doing. I like the aqua shorts suit! what's with the Sunday School socks and cream boots? *They* don't even go together, much less work as a finisher for the rest. (He won the Maverick Award. All these awards basically mean the same thing under different names.) ## Sheryl Lee Ralph ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179831826-1729558531.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Sheryl Lee Ralph attends the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) Sheryl was named an Artist of Distinction. I keep imagining her trying to put that top on in the dressing room and having to FaceTime her daughter to be like, "Is this wrong? IT LOOKS WRONG." ## Amy Poehler ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179846194-1729558520.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Amy Poehler receives the 'Variety Legend and Groundbreaker' award during the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) Yay, I love this. That trophy is the Legend and Groundbreaker Award, not to be confused with all these others, sigh. I like that this is relaxed but polished. ## Monica Barbaro ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179879835-1729558485.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Monica Barbaro attends the 25th Annual Newport Beach Film Festival Honors & Variety's 10 Actors to Watch at The Balboa Bay Club and Resort on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Jerod Harris/Getty Images) Monica was named an Actor to Watch. Possibly just because someone needs eyes on whether whatever her dress has is catching. ## Karla Sofia Gascon ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179830807-1729558553.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Karla Sofia Gascon attends the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) She's also one to watch, for Emilia Perez obviously, and this looks great on her. I do want to get her back into some color, though. ## Ryan Destiny ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179831982-1729568093.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Ryan Destiny attends the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) Please, no. Not dresses over pants again. The dress here would have been enough! ## Zoe Chao ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179829929-1729568106.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Zoe Chao attends the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) You might remember her from The Afterparty on Apple, which I so enjoyed. I also love this dress with the matching lens tint. ## Nic Cage ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179846574-1729558509.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: Nicolas Cage receives the 'Icon' award during the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) He received the Icon Award, and he IS an icon in many ways, so that tracks. ## June Squibb ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2024/10/GettyImages-2179818724-1729558563.jpg) NEWPORT BEACH, CALIFORNIA - OCTOBER 20: June Squibb attends the 25th Newport Beach Film Festival Honors Brunch on October 20, 2024 in Newport Beach, California. (Photo by Tiffany Rose/Getty Images for Newport Beach Film Festival) And I HEARTILY endorse June getting a lifetime achievement award, and in her comfiest quilt coat.
