(Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) Nick has a touch of Ben Platt Pants Syndrome here, with the severe tuck. But the jacket is what really throws me off. He looks like a kid who's been trying on his dad's coats. Too often when Nick experiments, he gets swallowed up by his clothes, or the fit is all wrong (at least it's not too tight here), and this is an example. None of this comes off as stylish at all; just... present. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319684290-1621827402.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Nick Jonas poses backstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) It really doesn't help when he leaves the coat open, either. On the runway it was shown belted, like the demi-trench it's designed to be. It is demonstrably NOT a sportcoat and so no wonder he jammed his hands in his pockets most of the rest of the night. ## Nick, Joe, Marshmello, and Kevin ![](https://storage.ghost.io/c/bf/b9/bfb99790-924d-4e41-a7e6-5e3c6e04fe57/content/images/static-gofugyourself-com/uploads/2021/05/gettyimages-1319685167-1621827418.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: (L-R) Nick Jonas and Joe Jonas of Jonas Brothers, Marshmello, and Kevin Jonas of Jonas Brothers pose backstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Rich Fury/Getty Images for dcp) Oh, sweet Jonai, you're like the three bears story. Joe's pants are too short. Kevin's pants are too long. Nick's are just right. Nick also looks like the kid gumshoe in the Emerald City, Joe looks like the 42-year old Mafioso who's excited to inherit his father's restaurant, and Kevin is trying to play it cool and like he's not at ALL stoked to have gotten the best jacket FOR ONCE and made Temporary Bonus Jonas DJ Marshmello wear his originally scheduled lamer one. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319632465-1621827394.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Nick Jonas of Jonas Brothers rehearses for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. However... ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/GettyImages-1319695843-1621827427.jpg) LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - MAY 23: Nick Jonas speaks onstage for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, broadcast on May 23, 2021 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images) ... fashion is REALLY trying to rebound us into wide-legged pants and I don't think it's a great plan for everyone. ## in Berluti ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/shutterstock_editorial_11946087lr-1621827445.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (11946087lr) Nick Jonas Billboard Music Awards, Show, Los Angeles, California, USA - 23 May 2021 And then BOOM, we're back to something that looks like it was made for someone taller. I'm sure I make this joke a lot with him, but it's like he's Josh Baskin at the end of Big, somewhere in the middle of his transition away from being Tom Hanks. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/shutterstock_editorial_11946087mo-1621827465-scaled.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (11946087mo) Jonas Brothers - Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas Billboard Music Awards, Show, Los Angeles, California, USA - 23 May 2021 This is a MUCH better look on him. ![](https://static.gofugyourself.com/uploads/2021/05/shutterstock_editorial_11946087mm-1621827454.jpg) Mandatory Credit: Photo by Rob Latour/Shutterstock (11946087mm) Jonas Brothers - Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas Billboard Music Awards, Show, Los Angeles, California, USA - 23 May 2021 Kevin is all, "It's about the music, NOT about a pecs competition, THANKS."
