# Nicole Kidman in Someone Else's Giambattista Valli

This is a very gentle, floaty experience compared to [crashing waves](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/golden-globes-2017-nicole-kidmans-bizarre-alexander-mcqueen-01-2017/) and [fancy parrots](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/sag-awards-nicole-kidman-in-an-ott-gucci-sequined-thing-01-2017/) and even the [blush, studded sleekness of Nicole's Oscars gown](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/oscars-nicole-kidman-finishes-strong-in-armani-02-2017/). It's even bedecked with some sort of tree of life, or, at the very least, a flowering love shrub. My gut tells me I don't hate the dress, but that it's really the foliage of someone else's existential promise. Like Elle Fanning's. Elle would swan into a room wearing this dress and we'd all probably be like, "LO THE SWEET FRAGRANCE OF SPRING," but Nicole just kinda looks like she's fighting hay fever. I do suddenly want to see Elle play Nicole's daughter in something, though, so at least I can put THAT out into the universe.
