The short and terrible tenure of Dario Vitale at Versace ended in December, and Pieter Mulier of Alaia took over -- hired in February, but began in earnest in July, making Nicole's dress the first creative output we've seen from the job. I am of a few minds about it, but something about the energy both she and Sandra have brought to the proceedings feels eerily like mirroring their characters. From what I remember, Sandy was the more serious and, yes, practical sister, and Nicole was the free, sexual spirit, and their vibes here seem to match it. I feel like she's about to toss her hair and purr.
