I joked in the intro but the fact is that I actually love Nicole Kidman and want her to thrive in all things. I'm glad she looks like she had a great time on this boat.

I think she looks great until you get to the ankles; these shoes are not my jam, at least not with the rest of this. But this is pretty unobjectionable. I enjoy the Bewitched vibes of her hair.

The rest of this weekend's looks did involved fabric encroaching on her face. (I also thought you might want to see this fabric closer up; I think it's gorgeous.)

She DOES look a bit like she's emerging from a clamshell -- which feels very Schiaparelli, so there you go.

Overall, this is beautiful to me. Nicole has always known how to make an entrance. (Would an updo have been better? I like this hair on her but the top of this dress is SO cool.)

If the previous hair recalled Bewitched for me, the back of this dress felt very Moulin Rouge. Is something saluting Days of Thunder next? (If she shows up with her hair wildly curly, we'll take that as a yes.)

I guess this limited series is about a murder so it makes sense that her dress -- otherwise pretty perfect -- appears to be stabbing her.
