Kate wears a LOT of Kors and I suspect she will only wear more, because this season was very heavy on the Classic Coat, which she loves to the exclusion of all else. (I do NOT think she will use a very very very very very long fur tail as a belt, though. I mean, you never know. But I would be surprised.)

I'd bet money on this, or the next one, popping up as well. I must admit that I LOVE ME some Michael Kors. I know that's considered basic -- but I also don't care. Loving classic American sportswear is no crime. I suspect Kate's only note is that he went insufficiently tweedy this season.

She will wear this one. Mark my words. (She's got three coats just like it already, but Kate is someone who buys ten versions of the same thing.)

Good old Jenny Packham always has SOMETHING reliable for this post. I love this pattern. Wills & Kate will SURELY have some Evening Events on the docket this year (unless they really do plan to become recluses, which is apparently possible) and this is modest but not snoozeville.

This seems like a sold bet, right? The length is right, too. I suspect Kate might drag this out for a cocktail party, even though it's not TECHNICALLY that cocktailly, because she never knows what to wear to a cocktail party and this will feel like it might be close enough? I will both complain about it and be really obnoxious that I predicted it, so we all have to look forward to.

A blogger can dream.

JUST YOU WAIT. This will happen! (Can you imagine? Truly, my greatest dream is for Kate to decide to go totally BONKERS, wardrobe-wise, and start wearing the wackiest stuff. It would be a great way to distract from any other PR issues, though. Any time they've got something brewing that they need to distract from, send Kate out in THIS!)

Kate doesn't wear a lot of Burberry, which makes no sense to me. Is there a more iconic British brand? This could totally work for a variety of events where she needs to look festive but not formal. Except styled totally, totally, totally TOTALLY differently.

Lela Rose felt like they were aiming for the center of the target with this entire college. This, for example, is Daytime Business Perfect, but still quite girly, which fits her aesthetic.

Ditto.

This feels like a Jenny Packham rip-off to me, but it's a nice one, and god knows Kate likes Packham. It's kind of like, "if Jenny Packham wasn't Jenny Packham enough for you, you may enjoy this!"

Kate loves this color, and I think this would be VERY successful for daytime stuff. Modest in all ways, but not too Sister-Wife, and right at that length where I can never figure out if it looks good or not.

Kate hardly ever wears black, but maybe she should. (Actually, black isn't that flattering on her. FINE. Maybe I want this one for ME. Is that so wrong?)

Kate would never be directional enough to wear that contrasting shirt under this -- although I personally love it -- but this whole thing is perfectly ladylike, no? It's elegant and stylish.

She'd never -- my long-running theory is that Kate never wears Nice Trousers for the same reason that I rarely do; we both are super long-torsoed and it's hard to find ones that are comfortable -- but wouldn't this be a fun change, for once? (Albeit perhaps without the open-toed loafers, which are complex and perplexing to me.)

THE DUCHESS OF CAMBRIDGE ENDORSES A REVOLUTION-ERA CRAVAT! (I'm actually only suggesting the coat. Although it would be entertaining to see Kate go all Hamilton cosplay on us.)

BRA TOPS FOR EVERYONE! (Obviously, I just mean the coat, which is actually quite sublime.)

But this entire thing seems perfect to me. If you get bored in the middle of some endless royal ceremony, just curl up in your outfit and take a nice nap. COZY.
