Katy Perry is currently visiting you, Australian fans, because she is providing "pre-game entertainment" for the AFL Grand Final, which Wiki tells me is "an upcoming Australian rules football match to be contested between the Sydney Swans and the Brisbane Lions." I assume this is basically the Australian rules football Super Bowl? Anyway, if so: Congrats, because [Katy Perry was very fun when she performed at the American rules football grand final](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/fugs-and-fabs-the-super-bowl-xlix-halftime-show-02-2015/). She also appears to have ditched [her recent Aughts Grunge vibe](https://go-fug-yourself.ghost.io/katy-perry-is-still-trying-it-07-2024/) and has returned to what I think of when I think of Katy Perry: Peppy, shiny, an outfit my Barbies might have worn that *also* might be a mermaid costume?

It's confusing, ESPECIALLY given her surroundings -- this look is NOT made for sport!! -- but at the same time...comfortingly exactly what I expect.
