Seriously, that thing on her neck is ITCHING to go through the cafeteria and take a lunchtime poll.

Okay, so let's turn her around slowly. I still think, even with the open back, that the neck piece of this Fall 2011 Prabal Gurung looks like some kind of upside-down racy bloomers. Is that a bad thing? Depends who's wearing it. On Intern George, probably. On Jessica Simpson, definitely. On Zoe Saldana? We'll see.

And here it is: the front. I keep thinking it looks like she has tucked some dish towels into her belt. And yet, if anyone is going to pull off this dress, it's probably Zoe Saldana. And she might actually be doing it. To be clear, I don't think I like the dress, but I also don't dislike it on her. Kim Kardashian would look sort of insane in it, as would Lindsay Lohan, or maybe even the classier likes of Kirsten Dunst. But Zoe Saldana has established just enough street cred, somehow, that she is one of the few people in this world on whom I might be willing to tolerate Red Ruff. Weird. I guess that's a compliment.

You loved The Velveteen Rabbit. Now, love The Velveteen Toga.

And what about this? It's grandma trying to tame a jungle cat cub with her best linens. And the lipstick is at war with the shoes. And yet, she might be pulling it off. AGAIN. You know, this is what Emma Stone was missing in her Chanel: an attitude that says, "Screw you, I like it." Zoe looks so confident that it's going a LONG way toward me giving the dress some leeway I might not otherwise afford it. And I do think the orange shoes were really ballsy. Other than the fuchsia satin ones in the first dress, Zoe Saldana tends to have deeply enviable taste in shoes.
