I love that Sleeve looks like it has a tentacle. It's like a ruched black shoulder-brain with a tail.

And then, BAM: A bum-scarf and a sparkly panel, like a lady who is letting her robe fall off in order to seduce the pool boy. But the best part is that it's not, strictly speaking, fabric.

I would love to hear exactly how many tiny little gold filaments make up this column. Why wear ONE bracelet, when you could wear two thousand of them stretched across your thigh? Much more dramatic.

Here is her BAFTA Sleeve, equally robust (and probably comes with a partner -- I just can't see it in any of the photos we have), and paired with a plastic cummerbund that's very Tron. Which is, of course, exactly the movie you want to evoke.

By contrast, she kept it light and girly at the Independent Spirit Awards -- I actually really like this dress, even with the weird draping in the front (and the brown-bag shoes that are treating her feet like a mickey of rum). But what really sold me on it was this:

How cute are they? Apparently he turned down The Kids Are All Right because he wanted to spend time with his family, and Julianne Moore mentioned that in passing to Sunrise, and Sunrise was like, "What? Is he insane? It's an awesome script." So he did the movie. I just thought that was a sweet story about BOTH of them. So you keep doing your thing, Sunrise, even if we sometimes think it's cracked-out. Because it's obviously working in the way that counts.
