I love her, and I love a dramatic gold gown, but somehow this is not the knockout punch I'd wanted. It's almost... shlumpy? Barraza/WENN.com Danai would've looked good in this, actually. She does well with architecture. Having noted that, I actually like this on Emma. As we noted for Cosmo, LV seems to be trying to make her stuff that feels special to its relationship with her -- less cookie-cutter runway than what it gives Jennifer Connelly, for example -- and the simplicity of everything BUT the sleeves really works. It fits perfectly, it's a standout color on a night where so many went pink (and I think NO ONE besides her and Olivia Colman wore green), this is a total princess moment for her. Truly, the cliche is accurate here: I think the nomination *was* the win, and she seems to have reveled in all of it.
