Well, it seems I leaked the contents of my spleen all over the main post page, so what is left to say? Clearly it's her correct vibe, and I maintain that the top part does actually have potential simply because it suits her so well. As-is, I think this could have worked -- or felt less egregiously boring -- at other events. But it's bananas to give her those shorts at the Oscars.

However, these two seem very happy together, and I love it. And while I don't love the loafers and socks, it's amusing to me that she had them with her and changed into them about 20 minutes after she got there. She is NOT here for pain. Is it crazy that I think Dylan's outfit, while also a little underbaked, is better? It does amuse me that they have DIFFERENT parts of their shirts buttoned.
I will say this: Kristen DID seem to have fun.
It's nice to see her cutting loose, when the red carpet during the Twilight era was -- I think -- such a stressful place for her.
Also, her makeup artist continues to do amazing things with her eye makeup.

She looks like she's wearing a protective egg. But, somehow, in a great way. It's like the actual good usable workable interpretation of Gaga coming out in that ovum at the Grammys.
Diane Guerrero in Carolina Herrera
Wes Gordon's team at Herrera has been getting a LOT of placements in the last six months. This is fun, and the black-and-white gloves are cute, but I think I'd have liked it MORE without the black lining poking up over the bodice.
Uma Thurman in Bottega Veneta
We've obviously seen a version of this a few times now, and it's often very effective, but we'll forget this one -- she sort of looks more like she's there to serve drinks and point you to the bathrooms. It needed some styling juice. I might have undone a button and stuck a great necklace in there, to start.
