This is, per her stylist, "a top from an archival collection and a skirt cut from fully sustainable silk." I wondered in passing if this color was a reference to Blue Jasmine, her Best Actress Oscar. Then I remembered that not everything has to be a reference to something else. Conceptually I get this, and I don't mind it, but would it have worked better in a different color combo? I know hot pink is overdone, but what about a sequined or glittery gold? Or red? Or a PATTERN? It doesn't sing the way it could.

The great James Hong, who is in EVERYTHING (Kevin piped up, "He was even on Chuck!"), brought his lovely daughter April. The thematic googly eyes on his tie are tremendous.

Well, her husband Adam, also an actor, started making Philly pretzels during the pandemic (!), and Jimmy Kimmel loves them and decided he wanted one under every seat last night?!? Did we see anyone eating pretzels? I would have MOWED THROUGH that thing, cameras be damned. Anyway, that explains the carbs on the red carpet. Katie looks phenomenal, and I'm sorry I picked a photo where she's hunching, but I had to work in the snacks.

What a handsome man. He also told a funny story on the red carpet about how they were shooting one of his scenes and Tom Cruise wasn't supposed to work that day, but he bounced in anyway to give them something to play off of. TC has a lot of issues for me, in terms of Scientology and all of that, but he does sound like he's a committed coworker -- and you know people as famous as he is probably often don't think they have to be that dedicated anymore. ANYWAY. Charles looks fab.
