I made a joke in the Drinks With Broads chat that my grandma had this lampshade, and then I saw that the Schiaparelli website wrote of it: "bustier dress in butter satin duchess and contrasting nude tulle enhanced with a clam basque inspired by an Alberto Giacometti archive lamp and laced at the back." IT LITERALLY IS A LAMPSHADE. I can't be mad about this!! (Lampshade notwithstanding, I think this is silly but kind of right for this moment for her, for this movie? The fit is terrific.)

As I said to Heather, and on the chat, I feel like I'm leaving this awards season not knowing anything about Mikey Madison's stylistic vibe at all. Like -- is she a classic preppy type? A cool girl? A secret hippie? This seems like a miss in terms of branding her. And I don't even mean that her team had to make something UP, just...how are they positioning her? Who IS she, clothing-wise? I feel like all her looks have been for people older and taller than she is but haven't really told me about HER. Anyway! This rant matters SO MUCH less now that she's won the Oscar! We can know her as an Oscar winner! This is okay but I don't love it and I also thought it was Prada. Her necklace is amazing, though and I think the photos of her holding her Oscar will look good because there's a lot of action here from the waist up.

I LOVE this skirt but wish the beading either didn't exist or started lower down. This has a kind of bikini feel that I don't want to embrace. She as a human looks gorgeous, though.

This is....just....very bad. The color is bad, the fit is terrible, IT'S CUSTOM and she still looks like a consumptive Victorian child ghost. I am not looking forward to her Snow White press tour if this is a teaser.

This dress was great on camera -- and not as sheer -- and she wears it really well. I had to search to find a photo where she wasn't making the absolute glummest facial expression. I am begging someone on the Rachel Sennott managerial squad to tell her to please stop doing whatever bit she is doing in red carpet photos because most of them look like she's making a "serious sexy face" as a joke, and I get it, and that's fine, but IT'S ALL THE PHOTOS and has been for like a over a year now. I do think this is a bit but I also think we need some variety!
