# Oscars and Independent Spirit Awards Well Played/Fug or Fab Carpet: Vera Farmiga

I don't know who the crossed-arms dude standing behind Vera "ORPHAN" Farmiga is, but I do think he's cute. So is her dress:

In fact, I think she looks smashing, and I love that her main accessory is a perfect red lip. The ORPHAN SPOILER 35 year-old Russian hooker with a pituitary gland issue and a past of institutionalization inside me -- we all have one -- is ALSO into this.

Take a deep breath.

I know some of you will not agree.

But I like this. It is kind of crazy -- sort of boho dinner party chic -- but I love the color and I think it really works with her. I love the big necklace (although I would have worn a wider belt) and I enjoy how she just looks like she's going to some awesome party, where she's probably going to drink a lot of margaritas and talk about that time she was in that movie where she wrestled with an eleven year old dressed as a SPOILER psychotic eastern European nutjob. And THAT is a party I would like to attend.
