At the SAGS. Black.

At the Golden Globes. Black.

At the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards. BLACK. If she wears a color, I will be stunned.

At the Kennedy Center Honors. BROWN! I'm still laying odds that she's going to wear black on Sunday.

See? Hollywood Film Awards Gala. BLACK.

Well. Maybe basic black will be okay. Because this is...troublesome. Go basic, Glenn. BASIC WILL BE GOOD.

At the BAFTAs -- I actually think this is great. It's like, Meryl Makes An Effort. And it pays off. She looks like a real movie star.

At the Globes. Sigh. Meryl, if your Oscar dress has pockets, don't forget to put your glasses in them. Not that you're going to win (I don't think). (Not that you care [I don't think]).

At the SAGs. Weight-lifting belt aside, I rather enjoy this.

At the Iron Lady premiere in London. This is very....Commencement Chic.

Oh, Meryl.

This is from an event on 2010. I just couldn't resist tossing it in here. If only THIS were the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

On to Michelle! A LOT of you disliked this, but I thought it was pretty.

I also thought this was pretty, if a little typically SNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOZE.

The DGA. It's brave to match one's gown to one's award.

At the Globes. I like this, minus the headband. I'm concerned that she may look tres twee on Sunday. Can we all just cross our fingers for a dash less twee-some-ness?

But can we all also cross our fingers that Busy Philipps wears another caftan? Because I love the idea that Busy Philipps floats around the house in caftans and turbans drinking pina coladas and serving everything on banana leaves.

Critics' Choice Movie Awards. I really liked this one, as well. It's very much her color palate, but the cut is super flattering and NOT MUMSY THANK GOD. Take a note, Michelle.

This is at some awards show hosted by STARZ and when your dress matches your STARZ award, you KNOW you're organized. Do we think she's going to wear gold on Sunday? Because I would be all over that.

I just thought you might want to revisit Jake's beard.

And this was at the Met Ball. I actually liked this as well -- more now than I did then, but that's mostly because she looks like she's heading toward the season three cast of Downton Abbey.

And this was at last year's Oscars. I mean, I'm sure it's exquisite in person. But in pictures, it somehow manages to be boring AND slightly indecent. GO BACK TO COLOR, MICHELLE. Sigh. I don't even know why I try.

You know what they all have in common, right? PACEY.

On the other hand, Viola Davis hardly ever wears a neutral. And behold: she almost always looks divine. Here, at the BAFTAs? Fab.

At the SAGs, in white, pretty fab.

Critic's Choice, in red. Fab.

The Globes, in burgundy. Fab.

I love her in pink.

Green. Fab -- almost. She needs jewelry, and the skirt looks like half of it accidentally got sheared off in the car. So...okay, not super fab. But not terrible.

ALMOST fab. Fix the neckline in your head. See? Fab. I am trying not to be concerned that this was the first red carpet event she attended after we saw her hanging out with Andre Leon Talley at Fashion Week. I LOVE ALT, but I don't think any of us have forgotten the tale of Jennifer Hudson and the Gold Bolero. And given that I think Viola has a really good chance of winning, I just really want her to look awesome on Sunday.

Speaking of people who may or may not wear a bright color: if Rooney Mara wears color, I will be astounded. I will eat my hat. I will go out and buy a hat and eat it. That being said, I love the architectural aspects of this particular dress, so I have high hopes that at least her dress will be INTERESTING.

Although she went to Calvin Klein this past Fashion Week, which makes me think she's going to be wearing black and VERY simple, which sounds like a total drag. (Sorry, Calvin.)

I hope to God she decides to wear something with sheer ass panels again. (She won't.)

From afar this seems pretty; from a-close, I think it's kind of a mess.

I loved this dress, but there ain't no way she's wearing cocktail length. Although that would be ballsy. I like some balls on Oscar Sunday.
