Meanwhile, earlier in Oscar week: Be still my heart! HER HAIR IS DOWN! And it's bouncy and lively and everything. SO much more flattering than her constant insistence on slick buns. I even like the dress and the shoes, although maybe it's the aura from her head affecting my judgment.

Even this updo is better -- looser, sexier. Put this with the Romanian Gymnastics Pep Squad outfit and we're at least on a BETTER track, if still a naked-ish one. As for the outfit itself, it's sort of silly, but God help me, I like it too. The shoes are insane -- who wants their stilettos to look like grandpa made them, unless their grandpa is Christian Louboutin? -- but the owl makes me giggle. It is, indeed, a hoot. OH YES I DID.
