First glance: I liked this.
Second glance: the hem looks like an unmade bed.
Third glance: I'm not wild about the smocking/puckering on the fabric.
Fourth glance: That IS kind of a grown-up Grande coif.
Fifth glance: She looks so young and fragile, somehow; I wish she'd played against her natural youthfulness with something sleek and sophisticated.
Sixth glance: Although she did that for a few other ceremonies, so I get wanting to change the vibe.
Seventh glance: She's carrying that color better than I would have expected.
Eighth glance: I just think, at the end of the day, that it's not as pretty as I want it to be. It's a Monet, perhaps, to borrow from Clueless. The closer I get, the more I wish I'd stayed far away.
Ninth glance: She almost forgot the Fass when she won. Do we think they last six more months? Or hang in there until their movie comes out in September?
Tenth glance: What do I know. Maybe they'll get engaged.

The twirly view is where it's it's a bit Beauty and the Beast, although honestly, all they really have in common is the color. (Katie Holmes' disastrous Met Ball Marchesa was a way more apt comparison. ) It actually looks a bit heavy and bunchy to me, where Belle's was weightless. Then again, hers was two-dimensional. Advantage: Belle.

From the back, that skirt is a bit of an unmade bed.

As if she heard me, Alicia changed into this for the post-parties. I think that is perfect for this venue, and although the style is sexy and a bi cooler on her, hat particular gown would've been wrong on the main stage, I think. She was right to do with something brighter for that.

That's nice, but I almost want to cut off the sleeves just to make it a HAIR simpler? Great shoes, though. She looks rather fantastic, in toto.
