She looks awesome, AND she's pointing. Double win.
This isn't as bad as I feared when I first saw it. But it reminds me of the season she won all her Oscars while pregnant. Not because her body looks pregnant, but because the cut of the dress is so roomy. It's nice, though. I will forget it existed tomorrow. I almost forgot right now.

Lili is on the new show Banshee, which coincidentally is EXACTLY what I wailed like when I saw that she's essentially wearing a shower curtain liner. Lili, I'm sure you are the nicest, but I don't need to know you this well. That's not a dress, it's a window display at Vag Fifth Avenue.
I am so thrilled she is in this Lanvin instead of another throw-pillow. It's so clean and chic by comparison. And her HEAD is so great that it really deserved its moment in the sun.
AND the cutouts are sexy but not raunchy. Everything is in its place. She is so classy.

The dress itself, I might like, but from the neck up it oozes into preciousness. She's like a portrait of a soon-to-be-beheaded Tudor queen.
Semi-Homemade Oscars, by Sandra Lee: Take one sewing machine, one glitter pen, and one super-pack of Bounty paper towels, and VOILA.
Why is her stomach baring its teeth at me?
I am concerned that Nicki is trying to defeat Mariah Carey by turning herself into Mariah Carey.
Oh, honey. I hope they're developing a vaccine for this.
Valentino managed to get a gown on someone else: Allison Williams, who seems to be enjoying life as the Girls cast member the big dogs are clamoring to dress. This is quite beautiful, and beautiful on her. I just don't know how anybody wears white to one of these crowded things, unless... UNLESS the best way to meet Jon Hamm is for him to spill his cocktail on your couture.
Her fingernails match the hip panels. I mean, EXACTLY. Right down to the shape. Eerie. If this were a witch movie the panels. or the nails, or BOTH, would be psychically connected and weaponized.
Hooray for curly hair.
Lucy was nominated for adapting Beasts of the Southern Wild from a play she also wrote. She looks beautiful, and so excited. It must be surreal to see your tiny movie suddenly get all these high-profile nominations... I hope she enjoyed the hell out of herself, and high-fived Quvenzhane for us.
This might be silver, actually, now that I look at it. But it's also crazy unflattering (as is that lipstick). Whenever we see Aisha Tyler at Fashion Week, we always get all swoony about how tall and gorgeous she is, so I wish this had gone differently.

A few too many tiers here. I want to make a tears/tiers joke, but I am too stupid right now. And possibly always.
