The more I look at it, the more it's growing on me. Like a cotton-candy fungus. Maybe now that she finally looks like she's feeling better, she decided to dress up like the proverbial cloud nine on which she's also partying.

You can see from this one that it's two-toned -- baby pink in the front, and white in the back. Part of me wishes the color had been more of a gut-punch, but actually, with a dress that massive, a head-smacking shade might've eaten her alive. So yes, it's a tad bridal, but she's also got on impeccable makeup for it and she's wearing the hell out of it. I might love it now, just on the sheer strength of having to type about it for a bajillion slides.

And then there was the back jewelry. Meh. It's like very expensive reins. But I want her earrings and eye makeup.

Here is the Lanvin she wore to the Independent Spirit Awards, which... you know, the nice thing about these is that you can go easier and breezier, and I'm not sure this is easy or breezy ENOUGH. Well, breezy, maybe, in the sense that a LOT of her back would have felt temperature changes.

[Oscars Weekend Fugs or Fabs: Jennifer LawrenceIn awesome Jennifer Lawrence style, our girl found a way to humanize herself even further by falling up the stairs when she went to get her Oscar (this, about three hours after she hilariously tried to stick her face in the dreaded Mani-Cam, on a bet with Emma Stone, to say, "YOUR ASS IS MINE, STONE"). But in the end, despite the tripping and our initial reservations that were as massive as that skirt, I've decided that beyond loving or hating this, I respect it. Jennifer Lawrence was one of a small handful of people who decided to go big or go home on Oscar night -- presumably because she figured when she did go home, bruised or not, she'd be bringing with her a bitchin' new gilded doorstop for her home office, so who the hell cares about the rest of it.
